Description: Harbor Montessori School at Tracyton in Bremerton, Washington, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate toddler Montessori teacher for the 2024-25 school year. HMS has well-equipped and beautiful classrooms, small class sizes, and a welcoming and joyful staff and faculty in the Tracyton neighborhood of Bremerton, just minutes from downtown Bremerton, the ferry terminal, and Silverdale.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, work well as a team member, be experienced in classroom management skills, and have a deep understanding of Montessori education in the First Plane of development.
The Toddler Teacher is a full-time, year-round (12-month) position. The Toddler Teacher will work in conjunction with the Site Director, Associate Head of School and the Head of School to educate, lead, and empower toddlers in accordance with the principles of Montessori educational philosophy and practices. The candidate must hold a toddler credential from an AMS, AMI, or MACTE-accredited teacher education program.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
● Prepare the environment and lessons in all subject areas.
● Develop, review, and update curriculum and curriculum maps as needed with the support of the Infant/ Toddler Program Director.
● Prepare an annual statement of goals and objectives for professional development and evaluation.
● Maintain student records with regard to attendance, achievement, and report writing.
● Prepare reports for families in accordance with the established policies of Harbor Montessori School.
● Mentor the classroom assistant and build a collaborative relationship with them.
● Prepare for and participate in regular parent-teacher conferences as set forth on the school calendar.
● Attend and participate in various evening meetings, as required.
● Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with students, families, and other staff members.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Montessori certification required.
The salary range at Harbor Montessori school is $41,700-$66,040, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
